I've recently come across my old blog from a few years ago. It was a time when I really was just blogging for fun and my posts didn't have much content. Hope you understand that most of the old blog posts wont be quality posts.
I had a really awesome long weekend. Even though it rained, It was still very fun. We went on a road trip to Ilocos with my parents, siblings, aunt, uncles and cousins. We left early morning of Friday, June 24. We had an 10 hour trip but there were some few stop overs for eating, bathroom breaks and picture takings. we finally arrived in Fort Ilocandia which was the hotel we stayed in. Soon after taking quick naps in the hotel, we had dinner in La Preciosa in Laoag and the food was really good!
The next day, we first went to some churches then went to have lunch in Batac. EMPANADAA!! there were veggies, longganisa and egg in it. I loved it!! We went to Marcos' mausoleum afterwards and his house over looking Paoay Lake was just a peaceful beauty. After which, we went to Paoay Chuch. It was pretty, very pretty. Driving further up north the Ilocos province brought us to the Bangui Windmills. They were really huge and white and of couse, took the oppurtunity of another family photo op. We didn't stay too long there though but we went to the Lighthouse after. Since it was old and sort of, not really taken care of, some of its bricks have fallen and there was no barricade to shield me from my fear of falling but I had to face it since it was really high and I had no choice After that, we headed back to Laoag and had dinner there.
The next day, which was Sunday, was the day we were going back to Manila. We left at around 10 or 11 then we just went to Vigan. there too was empanada but I liked the one in Batac better. then in Vigan, we went to Calle Crisologo and the buildings there still had red bricks just like the old days. We also got souvenirs but then it rained. then finally we were back on the road to Manila. we arrived home at around 11. and I just went to school the next day.
On Tuesday, June 28 I watched Cirque Du Soleil: VAREKAI then ate dinner at Aristocrat!!! and Varekai was the first circus i've actually ever been too. and it was AMAZING and AWESOME and EXTRAORDINARY, it the best and so funny! They were all sooo good! It would be something really worth remembering and I really hope there would be other Cirque Du Soleils to come here to Manila. :>
