Welcoming 2014!!

(x)
Hello everyone! First of all, I'd like to say. HAPPY NEW YEAR! I hope you guys have an amazing year up ahead! It's actually been quite a while. Well, the past few weeks have been much of a roller coaster so, I apologize for not being present. I've been spending more time with my family ever since I got out of school and it may have been the hardest for us to lose my granddad but we know that he's up there watching down on us and he would have wanted us to be happy this season.

Along this post, you'll see a recap of 2013 and how I spent my last day of the year. I spent it with the family, all chill and happy. I, too, was able to spend some me time by the pool with the book, Anna and the French Kiss (I totally recommend it). This post doesn't really have much but I hope you get something from it.

Anyways, enough with the sad news. I'd like to say THANK YOU SO MUCH TO EVERYONE for an amazing year - for keeping me sane, being people I can talk to and for simply being a great friend. A lot had happened actually. I got to meet new friends. I got to be more active in school activities and I got to dance more. It's nothing much but every moment 2013 had to offer was one for the books and each had a very important lesson that I will always be grateful of. To sum it all up - To accept, to forgive, to always believe and be thankful.

2013, I believe had the biggest ups and downs for most of us and quite a journey it has been but, I know that the stress, the joys, the lack of sleep every night was worth every memory spent with our friends, family (and not to mention homework) and all these defined who we are. Especially for us teenagers, this year brought out the best and possible the worst of us, how we were able to cope with everyday demands, how we all still kept pushing no matter how tired we all were, how all felt like sh*t but at the same time we had each other to get back up and how despite most of us friends have gone our own ways, we still all love looking back and remember the memories of the tighter friendship that was. I guess it's what we all just naturally do. It actually is hard to let go. 2013 may have been hard but it had the best parts and those memories make up our lives.

and now that 2014 is here, it's best to move on and start anew if you wish but don't keep wandering in the past. Let go. Let go of your bad habits, let go of worries and just live each day as if it were your last. I guess for this year, I'll just go with the flow and see where life takes me. If it'll make you happier, a better person, you go give it a try! Just be careful with the things you do and make sure to always keep in mind that it's not only for yourself but for others as well! So, here's to 2014. Here's to new memories, to new friendships, new stories and to a new us.
