A day after that (fun yet) tiring fashion show, I finally was able to have my somewhat "vacation from my vacation". Summer, I believe, had not given me a break nor enough time for an actual whole day of leisure due to my current dance schedule. Finding time during the summer was harder than I thought it would be. I can honestly say I am an even busier bee now than I was during the school year.
I went to Nuvali with my cousins to accompany my uncle for his duathlon there. Woke up at 3am to the dark skies and arriving in Sta.Rosa, the dusk was languid - peaceful, beautiful; yet, made me feel really lazy and sleepy. My uncle's race had not started until 6:30 so I had time to chill (and sleep).
Once the race had started, my cousins (Justin and Isha) and I decided to walk around the entire Nuvali to see what was there (and maybe check out Xavier Nuvali). Due to the time constrain, we ended up walking around only half of it. The place seemed very serene and being surrounded by nature was quite the getaway. Our walk around the park then turned into an impromptu photo shoot with our handy camera phones (thank you Apple and Samsung. I apologize in advance for the photo quality). We didn't dress up for a look shot. I was just in a simple shirt-shorts-sneakers outfit but we were bored; so, might as well.

Nuvali morning weather was nice and fair - not too hot, not too cold, not too sunny, not too cloudy (and a little windy). It was the perfect weather in my context but I guess as the morning went by and all we did was walk, It started to get humid. I started to sweat and the summer heat was to blame.

After finishing up in Nuvali, We ate in Bag of Beans in Tagaytay. Because a lot of people have been saying that food there is really good, I wanted to try it for myself and the verdict seemed right.
Straight after Bag of Beans, we headed to Tagaytay Highlands. In our usual go-to place, we went for a bit of swimming then horse back riding. We left Tagaytay rather earlier than usual.
I just fell asleep on the way home but I was still able to catch the really pretty (and huge) sunset as we were cruising along the expressway going back home to Manila. Sadly, I was not able to catch a photo of it but I can tell you, it was beautiful beyond words.
I guess that concludes my "vacation from my vacation"; my rest day; my getaway day; a somewhat adventure and what made it more meaningful is the fact that I got to spend it with my family and just be myself for a day without any worries.
Temper Trap and Avalanche City are 2 of many bands that will be performing at the Wanderland Festival on May 18th, 2013 and I really want to go! Firstly, because c'mon!! It's Temper Trap and Avalanche City! What's not to love and the festival line-up is beyond exciting. Secondly, It's the first Coachella-like festival here in the Philippines with legit outdoor, grassy, park-like concert grounds perfect for strutting your stuff (clothes, obviously) and just plain having fun and lastly, the Philippine sun may be really hot but it could be my other rest/fun/vacation from my vacation day in this very hectic summer. I really think you should check them out and for sure, you'll enjoy their music!
